LinkedIn Study Reveals What US Cities Lead Crypto Jobs In 2021

In year 2021, Metropolises led the crypto-related hires in the United States. But LinkedIn data revealed that jobs in space are well-distributed across the country.

There is no any single hub for cryptocurrency or blockchain specialist in the US so far, revealed by a LinkedIn study report done for Bloomberg. They have done this study through their LinkedIn members in the U.S. by analyzing their listing of new jobs. Most of their keywords are matched with Crypto, Bitcoin, Blockchain, Ethereum, Altcoin and Solidity shown that about 53% of crypto jobs are scattered across the state in small portions.

In here, Miami and Chicago in the first and second places and Los Angeles ranked in 3rd place. Traditional finance hub New York and tech San Francisco obviously led the pack, as crypto and blockchain stand at the intersection of finance and technology.

According to the views of Diogo Monica, the co-founder of crypto technology services company Anchorage Digital, within the crypto companies, decentralized organizational structures are driving a remote workforce. Furthermore he explained that “Cities and states with lower taxes, great infrastructure, and quick access to an international airport will benefit from fully remote work,”

It is cleared that, mid-sized metropolitan areas having more impact on this hiring crypto trend. With the adjustment of 100,000 LinkedIn members, they have revealed that point. In Austin, Denver, Raleigh and Salt Lake City, at least two people were hired for crypto jobs. For example: having 2% market share, Austin and Texas hired three people while New York hired an average of 2.8 people from every 100,000 LinkedIn members with having 18.3% market shares.

Most interesting thing was, survey found that lower paid workers in U.S. are tend to quitting their jobs due to highest profit they are getting from crypto.

Officials of U.S. cities are also trying their best to attract the crypto jobs and industry. Newly-elected New York City Mayor Eric Adams, by following Miami Mayor Francis Suarez’s example, explained his plans to make the city as the center for the crypto jobs and cryptocurrency industry. Moreover, he stated that he will take his first three paychecks in Bitcoin.
